VISITORS & VISITING SCHOLARS

IR&D helps to facilitate the visits of international visitors/delegations to the university. 

IR&D also helps to facilitate, together with host units, the visits of international scholars. Visiting scholar services provided by IR&D include:

• assistance and advice to host departments/units on the services and support available to visiting scholars while at Dalhousie;
• an official letter of invitation from IR&D to the visiting scholar, if necessary, prepared in consultation with the host department/unit;
• a brief orientation for the visiting scholar to Dalhousie, Halifax and Nova Scotia, including a campus tour if appropriate; and
• the introduction of the visiting scholar to relevant individuals at the university.
